The Township Board is an elected body responsible for enacting and enforcing local ordinances, ensuring appropriate funding for Township departments and services, and responding to the needs of the community. The Township Board serves as the primary governing body for the Township, providing oversight and direction for Township operations. The Board is composed of four Township Trustees and is presided over by the Township Supervisor.
The Board meets monthly to review Township business and make decisions affecting Campton Township residents. The Township also hosts an Annual Meeting each year. All Board meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and share their input.
Regular Board meetings are held at the Campton Community Center Township on the second Tuesday of every month. See our calendar and our Town Board Meeting Schedule for dates of both monthly and special Board meetings.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission works with the Town Board to review public and private proposals for development and zoning.
Composed of Campton Township residents, the Commission gives citizens a chance to directly affect the future growth and shape of our community.
Proposals submitted by developers, residents, and government bodies are carefully examined for conformity with zoning law, and the best interests of the public. The Commission then issues specific recommendations to the Board on each proposal it reviews, after which the Board votes to allow or prohibit the proposal.
The Planning Commission works to regulate Campton's growth in a way that preserves the rights and interests of those who live and work in our community. The Commission's work includes its Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
Public input is welcome and encouraged; to find out about upcoming meeting dates, check our calendar or contact the Township at 630-387-1016.
