The restoration of the foundation, exterior, and interior of the historic 1874 Campton Township Town Hall, partially funded by a Kane County Riverboat Fund grant, has been completed. Volunteers have developed educational exhibits for school groups, civic organizations, and interested citizens.
Currently, the building is open by appointment only, with a 24-hour advance notice required. Interested visitors should contact Campton Township from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, at 630-387-1016.
The Township is seeking volunteer docents to staff the Town Hall. They also encourage residents who possess historical items or photographs related to the history of Campton Township or Kane County to get in touch with the Township.
